Two Simultaneous Attacks in the Somali Capital Overnight

Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org)- Two simultaneous raids were last night carried onto two different garrisons in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

These two raids occurred at the former pasta plant and the former prison warders barrack.

It was confirmed that both the warring sides exchanged different kinds of weaponries.

The fight at the former Prison warders barrack commenced shortly after dusk prayers and some eyewitnesses in the neighborhoods verified that these Ethiopian forces stationed in the barrack were attacked from three different directions.

The attackers were armed with different sorts of armaments an Islamist group in Somalia called Al-Shabab claimed for been behind the raid.

The actual damages between the two warring sides was not immediately confirmed thought it was night time morning hours reports say that scores of the Ethiopian troops were killed in the attack.

A stray rocket fired by the Ethiopian soldiers landed at a house in the African village area and killed an elderly man and wounded a young girl.

On the other hand a dreadful combat also occurred at the former Past factory in the northern direction in the capital Mogadishu.

In the battle at the former Pasta factory six Ethiopian soldiers were confirmed killed and handful of others were wounded as per to the daybreak reports.

So far there are no comments from the government side regarding about the combats of last night at the former Pasta factory and the former prison waders barrack which are both now the bases for the Ethiopian troops in Mogadishu.
